The potential of the Internet has growing forms. The development of new services and applications is also growing and it's finding its way through both wired and wireless networks.
Fiber Friday (FiFri) aims to bring the fiber community together and stimulates development and deployment of fiber. This will hapen through open virtual communication and monthly meetings on a Friday of the month to share trends, ideas and best practices. With open we mean that every city in the world can start a local chapter and everyone is welcome to the meetings.

The idea around Fiber Friday is inspired by Mobile Monday, a similar concept that found its way in early 2000. The founder of Fiber Friday (Jurjen de Vries) also believes that mobile and wired industry can coexist.
